Visa Exceptions

A US ESTA allows travelers to enter the US for short term tourist and Business visits. The ESTA is usually valid for 2 years and is only valid for the passport used to file the application. Duration of stay in the US under ESTA is usually granted for 90 days. You should not remain for over 180 cumulative days for every 365 days period in the US under ESTA. NOTE: Due to immigration concerns, Hungarian nationals can apply for ESTA with a validity period of just one year, and will be valid for SINGLE ENTRY ONLY.

NOTE: Applicants may receive an ESTA denial, if they have a history of visiting Cuba after January 12, 2021, or if they have a history of visiting Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen on or after March 2011

A US Business/Tourist Consular Visa, is a visa issued by the US consular section in your country of residency after completion of biometrics process and personal interview with the immigration officer. This visa allows travelers to enter the US for short term business/tourist visits. The immigration officer at the border control will decide how long you will be granted a stay in the US, typically it will cover a 90 day period. You should not use this visa to travel to the US frequently, as you will be allowed a cumulative 180 days per every 365 day period.

    • Accommodation during the stay
    • Note: The letter must be addressed to the correctly appointment processing consular section, GVP will confirm this information accordingly
  • Additional documents may be requested based on personal evaluation

NOTE: Applicants with criminal history should prepare a recent police report for submission.
